A “trigger” starts the automation when an action occurs.
Popular triggers:

When someone subscribes to the audience (Welcome email)
-
When someone joins a tag or segment
-
Specific date or birthday
-
When someone abandons a cart (for e-commerce)
-
When you add a contact manually
Example:
👉 Choose “When someone subscribes to the audience”
Step 3: Add an Email Action
-
After the trigger, click + → Send Email
-
Create your email name (e.g., “Welcome Email 1”)
-
Choose your saved template
-
Add content:
-
Subject: “Welcome to [Your Brand]!”
-
Body: Thank them, introduce your brand, and share a link or free resource.
-
CTA: “Explore Now” or “Follow Us”
-
Step 4: Add Delays (for Series)
If you want a drip campaign:
-
Click + → Delay
-
Example:
-
Email 1: Immediately (Welcome message)
-
Wait 2 days → Email 2: Share blog or tutorial
-
Wait 3 days → Email 3: Offer or promotion
-
Step 5: Review & Turn On
-
Click Review Journey → Check for errors
-
Click Turn On
Your automation is now active 🎉
